I replaced a 42" plasma which I had thought was great, but when I hooked this up and watched Avatar bluray I had never seen such a high quality picture. Tonight we watched the Wizard of Oz since tomorrow we are going to Wicked and we wanted our daughter to watch the movie first and even there the quality difference was amazing. You could see the graininess of the film and the incredibly fake props. Even with that, the picture quality was still incredible and I was able to easily see details I had never before seen such as the scarecrow's support wire when he was against the post, and that the Professors trailer said "Balloon Exhibitionist".
I cannot rave enough about this TV. The only problem, which is with the entire line, is that the beautiful black exterior gathers dust quite effectively. The screen does not, but the black exterior quickly looks gray with dust.

This is a great TV. Only downside is the confusion related to hooking it up in order to get Neflix. We contacted LG and got rather confusing info from them so we're still working on it.
Buying from Amazon was easy and the delivery was quick and professional. We hooked it up with no problems except as noted above.

I just bought this TV, so it clearly is not true that it isn't being sold. I really like it, so I would assume the reason for being discontinued is that there is a newer model, not that this one is defective in any way. Either way, it's strange, though that may be why the price is so good. Really like the TV, picture is crisp, sound is good.

I love this TV- We've only had it a week and the picture and features are awesome. Setup was easy, my electronically challenged husband can even work the remote. Getting Netflix directly to the TV is very cool. Get HD hookup though- It is almost 3 dimensional. The sound is pretty good too. No gripes about anything on this beauty. I'm glad I picked this one. Buying from Amazon was very easy and delivery was prompt- they called to set up a time to deliver and made sure it had power before they left. Amazon was cheaper than anywhere else and the price for shipping was great too (free). If you're going to mount it check out Amazon's deals on mounts. We got a discontinued one for about $75 that is wonderful. Thanks Amazon and LG!
